I flew back to central coast, and my good friends, Hazel and Mike, picked up the motor home from its maintenance problems and headed off to Dorrigo for my patchwork retreat. As usual I try to do a different route, so I headed across to Gloucester, a nice little town in the mountains, and then on to Walcha. I stayed 2 nights there as I was ahead of my self. The morning came for me to leave and I didn't have any water.? I check it out and my water hose is frozen, I eventually was able of unscrew it and lugged the hose over to the showers, where I was able to thaw it out by running the hot water over IT! That was a first? So I continued to Dorrigo and settled in re Ady for 6 days of patchwork, eating and drinking with old friends, It is my 4 trip there, they are all good company. I did a quilt as you go workshop, for 2 days, a mystery quilt , 1 day, a bag 1 day, and an art piece with Helen God den, that was 2 days, but I had to get the motor home back to Newcastle for more maintenance issues.
Got that sorted and then headed off to ST. For my friend Yvonne's 60th birthday. Got ax far as outer suburban Sydney and bang, the gears seized. Three and a half hours sitting on the side of the road next to a Westfield shopping Centre, waiting for the Iveco roadside assist guy to turn UP! I am rapidly getting over this MOTOR HOME! Finally got it sorted, like "I can't find a reason for it, your good to go!!" Yeah, what happens if it happens I outback Somewhere? Thankfully it didn't, I got to Wentworth and joined friends for 5 days of country music, and bought a few more cos. Some great new talent there again.Headed off to Clare on Sat morning and got there early enough, had a lovely evening with Yvonne and Ken, met up with some west aussies who came over too. Had a lovely brunch on Sunday and then headed off to Leasing ham where I am booked in for 10 days,at a special rate. This morning woke up to storm and strong win warnings,so I am bunkered down in the motor home, awning in and the van rocking to some really strong wind gusts. Luckily I have Pl, entry of hand sewing to do.
Well I hope this finds you all safe and we'll and my apologies to any of you that got bothered by an odd email, I was hacked, changed all my passwords etc, so hope that is the end of that. Cheers
Vicki
