Tasmanian Christmas

Happy Christmas everyone! I am gaining in confidence as I go with this . My daughterin law has managed to read it and a couple of other have replied and said they could. So I am comitted to sending these out.
Since last week, I have been to Coles Bay in Freycinet National Park, where I actually camped in a site called Rivers and Rocks. that was for 2 nights, parked beside more Queenslanders! But they were a lovely couple, an he was/is a jeweller! well you can imagine I was in 7th heaven. He has all his gear with hm and has a section of his van set up as a workshop! so I got all my rings cleaned!, Then we went for a drive in their 4 x 4 drive and did some bush bashiing. I bought lunch for us when we got back as It was good of them to take me with them. The next day we all were going to do the Wineglass Bay Eco Cruise, but they rang and cancelled as there was gale force winds and pretty rough. so that was disappointing. Before I arrived at rivers and rocks, I took a walk up Cape Trouville, and nearly died as a black snake about 4 foot long went across the track in front of me! Apparently all snakes in Tassie are vnomous too!, Not so keen on the old bush walking now! As if I need an excuse not to do it.
Had a good drive up here to ST Helens, beautiful fish and chips straight off the fishing boats. the waters are famous for deep sea fishing evidently. I did some grocery shopping for my christmas dinner and then set up in the caravan park for 3 days. put out the awning with the guy ropes and all! Today I cooked my little roast lamb leg in my turbo roaster, with baked vegies and all. and I am only just finishing off my bottle of sparkling shiraz! I think I have been pretty restrained.I had a couple of pressies under my tree so that was nice. thank you jean and Maxine. Genevieve is posting hers to Bridport, which is where I will be for New Years, That will be un powered so it will be a while before I post another blog, maybe then I will work out how to add photos. Mean while thanks for the texts today and my love to you all

doigsdongaaroundoz

hi everyone, this is the second attempt! if it still doesn't work, I will give up.
So today I arrived at Triabunna, on the lower east coast, and then I booked an eco cruise to Maria Island, for tomorrow, so I probably should have waited til tomorrow when I might have some fantastic photos to post as well!, aby way, i have done some free camping around tassie, and a few caravan parks, when I need to wash my hair or wash clothes. I am finding out heaps about the van as I travel along, all the men,(and some women) know heaps more than I do about what works where, so things are getting better,I feel quite confident to free camp for 4/5 days now. the test will be at New Years when I will do 7 nights at bridport.  Jean has posted my mail to Bridport, so I will read my cards etc then. we have had a couple of really cold nights I have had to get the hot water bottle out! I am able to speak to Mum on skype most weekends.
